Nuts Looking For A Good Home

With baseball stadiums closed to fans this year, there is a surplus of peanuts. Farmers had no clue there would be a pandemic, so they grew just as many as any other year. Well, you can add more nuts to that list!

I hadn’t even thought about this, but since airlines cut off snacks on their flights to lower the risk of COVID-19 transmission, there’s an even larger pile. For instance, GNS Foods, which supplies American Airlines, has 87,000 pounds of mixed nuts just sitting in a warehouse! 70% of their yearly sales comes from American Airlines...until this year. So they’ve opened up a retail store in Texas and are also selling nuts online. The prices aren’t too bad! That’s how it works when you’re desperate to sell.
