Kentucky Derby Changes Its Mind

About a week and a half ago in this very blog, I told you that Churchill Downs would allow 23,000 fans at the Kentucky Derby. That number has since been reduced…by 23,000!

Officials changed their minds on Friday since Jefferson County and the city of Louisville are now in a red zone, based on the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. The race is still happening in two weeks (9/5/2020), but no fans will be present.

Tiz the Law! No, that’s not a statement. It's the name of the horse favored to win! True story.
