Bolts Use Six-Goal Outburst To Snap Skid

The Tampa Bay Lightning (27-11-2) defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets (15-19-8) 6-4 on Thursday night in Columbus.

The Lightning used a four-goal outburst in the first period to take control of this game early. Blake Coleman, Steven Stamkos and Barlcay Goodrow all scored to take a 3-0 lead before the Blue Jackets got a goal from Michael Del Zotto to make it 3-1. However, the Bolts got a goal from Ryan McDonagh with one second to go in the first period to take control. The Bolts added goals from Ross Colton and a second from Ryan McDonagh in the second period to make it a six goal lead, which would be more than enough to get the win on this Thursday night.

Andrei Vasilevskiy went 32-for-36 in net to pick up the win for Tampa Bay, who now heads to Nashville for the next two games against the Predators. They will be back on the ice on Saturday night in Nashville - puck drop is scheduled for 8 PM, with pregame coverage beginning at 7:30 PM on News Radio WFLA.
