Crews Race To Restore Power Following Hurricane Ian

(Tallahassee, FL) -- The number of Florida residents still without power days after Hurricane Ian is steadily decreasing and officials from FPL report the company is running ahead of schedule.

At last check, that number has dropped to around 866,000. That's compared to the millions of customers left in the dark in the immediate aftermath of the storm that's left dozens dead.

North Carolina and Virginia are also dealing with power issues from the remnants of Ian, with just over 41,000 outages between the two.
