Sunrise, FL - A man found engulfed in flames outside of a Walgreens in Sunrise has succumbed to his injuries, with the cause of the fire under investigation.
The tragic incident unfolded in Sunrise on Thursday morning when the man was found engulfed in flames outside a Walgreens.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Sunrise Police officials responded to reports of a fire and discovered the man ablaze in a grassy area near a parking lot and a gas station.
The victim's body was covered by a yellow tarp as authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Witnesses reported seeing a puff of smoke around 9:30 a.m., shortly before emergency services arrived.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
