Fort Lauderdale, FL - Florida’s celebration of its second straight Stanley Cup victory reaches its peak this Sunday with a massive parade and beach rally in Fort Lauderdale.
The Florida Panthers, fresh off a 5-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers in Game Six that clinched the Cup repeat, will lead their championship parade along A1A, launching at noon from the intersection of Riomar Street before heading south to Fort Lauderdale Beach Park at Southeast Fifth Street for a grand rally on the sand.
This triumph marked a historic back to back Cup win, the first since the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2021, powered by Sam Reinhart’s four goal performance and strong showings from Matthew Tkachuk and Aleksander Barkov.
City leaders including Mayor Dean Trantalis and Commissioner Steven Glassman are urging fans to plan ahead, bring water, and prepare for road closures and heavy crowds reminiscent of last year’s gathering, which drew more than two hundred thousand people despite rain.
Trantalis expressed hope that clear skies will accompany this year’s celebration.
While parking and transit details have not been officially released, officials plan to share full guidelines soon.
Last summer’s event featured water taxis, free public shuttles from garages like the Heron and Galleria Mall, and road closures from Riomar to Southeast Fifth Street.
Similar accommodations are expected, with announcements coming on Pantherland shops offering fresh championship gear at Amerant Bank Arena and Baptist Health IcePlex.
The Panthers’ parade promises a sun soaked spectacle of pride and energy as the team allegedly begins to build a true hockey dynasty in South Florida.
